About me

I am an enthusiast of Equitable learning Design that engenders creativity, justice, and holistic growth.

I am passionate about advancing innovative and engaging initiatives that foster equitable and inclusive connections and outcomes across higher education, nonprofits, and business.

In my current work, I serve as a learning designer advancing a portfolio of university-wide experimental academic courses at Georgetown’s Red House, an educational research and design unit focused on values-driven learning design and high-impact practices.

As a personal passion project, I also work as a college coach, helping high school students—particularly first-generation and low-income students—navigate the college application process. I find joy in helping students recognize their own strengths, articulate their stories, and serve as an accountability partner in making progress advancing towards their dreams.

Throughout my career in higher education, public service, and community engagement, I have contributed to global academic programs, strategic partnerships, research collaborations, service-learning, community connections, and instructional design for on-campus, virtual, and hybrid learning environments.

My lived experience as an immigrant and first-generation scholar has propelled my passion for advancing more transparent, trauma-informed, and equitable ecosystems that foster agency and healing for all learners. Much of my graduate research and studies have focused on embodied cognition, creativity, and culturally sustaining, asset-based, anti-racist approaches to learning design.

I find inspiration in the work of bell hooks and Dr. Maria Montessori, particularly their philosophies around creating learning spaces that afford freedom within a structure—fostering agency, co-constructed learning, intrinsic motivation, liberation, and holistic growth.

I am a graduate of Georgetown University’s Master of Arts in Learning Design and Technology program and earned a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Executive Management from the McCourt School of Public Policy. I earned my BA in Public Affairs from Trinity Washington University.

My greatest joys and inspirations are my children.
